The Mobile Drill 101 features a digital speed display, adjustable speed, forward/reverse rotation, a detachable handpiece and a selection of drill bits and sanding bands. Its compact controller makes it convenient for salon work, home use and mobile nail technicians.

What you may not like

* Not designed to replace a heavy-duty professional e-file for extremely intensive, continuous work.
* Beginners may need some practice to control the speed and pressure properly.
* Included drill bits may not cover every specialised salon technique.
* Performance can vary depending on the bit being used and the material being removed.

Precautions

* Always start at a low speed and increase gradually.
* Never apply excessive pressure.
* Keep the bit moving instead of holding it in one spot.
* Do not drill deeply into the natural nail.
* Take extra care around the cuticle, sidewalls and nail corners.
* Make sure the bit is properly secured before switching on.
* Switch off the machine before changing bits.
* Keep the electrical components away from water.
* Clean and disinfect reusable bits properly after each client.
* Do not use damaged bits, cables or handpieces.
* Stop immediately if excessive heat, unusual vibration or abnormal noise develops.

How to use

1. Connect the handpiece securely to the Mobile Drill 101 control unit.
2. Choose your bit according to the service—use an appropriate bit for shaping, surface refinement, cuticle-area work or product removal.
3. Insert and secure the bit firmly in the handpiece.
4. Connect the correct power supply and switch the unit on.
5. Select the rotation direction: FWD for forward rotation or REV for reverse rotation.
6. Set the speed: begin at a low setting and gradually increase it as needed. Avoid immediately starting at maximum speed.
7. Hold the handpiece like a pen for maximum control. Support the client’s finger with your other hand.
8. For gel/acrylic removal: work over the bulk of the artificial product using controlled passes. As you approach the natural nail, reduce pressure and speed.
9. For nail shaping: guide the bit along the free edge and sides with light, controlled movements rather than forcing the bit into the nail.
10. For surface refining: use a suitable fine abrasive bit and make gentle, continuous passes across the surface.
11. For cuticle-area detailing: use an appropriate small bit at a controlled low speed. Work carefully and never force the bit into living skin.
12. Monitor heat: if the nail or surrounding area becomes hot, stop and allow it to cool before continuing.
13. Finish the service: remove nail dust and continue with your normal manicure, pedicure or enhancement procedure.
14. After use: switch the machine off, disconnect the handpiece, remove the bit, clean the equipment and disinfect reusable bits according to proper salon hygiene procedures.
15. Store properly: keep the drill, handpiece, bits and accessories clean and dry until the next use.
